This is just a proof of concept and an experiment. Using completely free tools it is possible to create an interactive broadcast channel. The components I have used are 1) a video stream 2) a twitter stream 3) a chatbox. I've used blogger as the vehicle to deliver this but other vehicles could have been used. In this experiment I've used a twitter.com widget, Ustream and Chatroll
I tried another one using only Ustream components for chat and social steam but it was quite messy see it here
I will write up the process and publish it but it's all quite simple. I can see that it would be possible to use a channel for a succession of broadcasts or sent up a new one for each even and archive them as you go.
